Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Homewise (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website, how we use it, and your rights under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. What we collect

• Account data — if you register: your name, email address, and either a securely hashed password or, if you use Google sign-in, a Google account identifier. We never store your password in readable form.
• Property details you enter — block, street, flat type, floor area, storey range, and any email you supply for a valuation or report.
• Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We store the Stripe identifiers for your purchase and your access period; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage analytics — we keep first-party event logs to operate and improve the service. To minimise personal data, we truncate your IP address to a network prefix, store only a one-way hash of your browser’s user-agent, and a coarse device category (mobile / tablet / desktop). These identifying fields are automatically anonymised after 90 days.

2. How we use it

To produce your valuation and research report, process payment, secure the service and prevent abuse, communicate with you (e.g. emailing your report), and improve our methodology and product.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Payment processing — Stripe.
• Written commentary — the figures in your report are computed by us; the explanatory prose is generated by a third-party large-language-model provider, to which the relevant analysis inputs are sent solely for that purpose.
• Sign-in & advertising measurement — Google, if you choose Google sign-in and (in production only) for conversion measurement.
• Email delivery — our email provider, to send report and account messages.

4. Cookies & sessions

We use a single signed, server-side session cookie to keep you logged in and to remember your current analysis. In production we also use Google’s tag for advertising conversion measurement.

5. Retention

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active or as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Analytics identifiers are anonymised after 90 days.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, and you may withdraw consent to its collection, use or disclosure. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].

7. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, traffic is served over encrypted connections, and access to personal data is limited. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
